According to the European Commission Regulation no. 617/2013, minimum energy performance standards (MEPS) for computers and computer servers shall be a part of the requirements for CE-marking from 1 July this year.

For public procurements, IT equipment needs to be certified by an appointed body which is accredited for this category by the authority INMETRO.

We have had the pleasure of having Mette Solstrand as a member of Nemko's Board of Directors for two years. Now she is taking over as Chair.

The European Commission is in process of reviewing possible additional hazardous substances to be restricted for use in electrical and electronic products, and thus may be extending the listed substances in Annex II of the European RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU).

Nemko has now signed a new so called Recognition Program (RP)-agreement with the Saudi Arabian authority SASO.
