Hong Kong OFCA Radio and Telecom Certification Services

Since the establishment of the Communications Authority (CA), Hong Kong’s specifications are referred to as HKCA specifications. Certain documents that may still state HKTA and are not yet revised are considered acceptable. Some standards for Hong Kong are voluntary, however depending on the devices intended use there may be a need to have certification from the buyer, installer, integrator, or telecom connection owner. For RF and Telecom Product Approvals, Hong Kong operates a separate certification program than China and does not have provisions for mutual recognition with China.

Test Reports can be accepted from OFCA recognized laboratories. OFCA mandate, that certification bodies perform audit testing on two percent of products they have certified.
