Nemko Canada can certify electrical products to Canadian Energy efficiency requirements. Read on for more information.
Electrical and Electronic apparatus prescribed in federal and some provincial regulations in Canada as having Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) require mandatory Energy Efficiency Verification (EEV).
The organizations that certify these products under an EEV program must be accredited by the Standards Council of Canada and recognized by Canadian Regulators for the particular scope of accreditation.
The Federal regulator in Canada is Natural Resources Canada (NRCan)

Other facts about the Certification mark:
- The use of this mark for requires surveillance. EEV certification requires production sample surveillance.
- In addition to having your testing performed at Nemko, test reports can be accepted from laboratories that have been qualified by Nemko Canada to the requirements of ISO 17025. Witness testing is also an option.
- Laboratories wishing to be qualified to provide test data under this Nemko Certification program must contact Nemko Canada to arrange for qualification prior to any submission of test data.
