Temporary safety measures
Dear valued customers and vendors,
The spread of COVID-19 is dramatically impacting the way we do business. Yet, we are striving to continue to deliver the best service possible while keeping our customers, vendors, and communities healthy and safe. As a company, we will be introducing the following changes immediately, for the protection of our staff and patrons, and to minimize adverse effects on other entities in our supply chains. Valid from March 12th until further notice.
- Temporary travel ban
International travel is suspended, and all employees are encouraged to employ digital meeting tools in place of face-to-face meetings.
- CDC recommendations for hygiene
Our Global network of offices is being supplied with the necessary resources to promote a safe and healthy workplace. General Managers at each location are ensuring CDC recommendations are understood and followed by all employees and visitors on- premises.
- Nemko locations
While some employees may continue to work in our laboratory locations, we will be actively curtailing the number of guests. All visitors to Nemko laboratories are required to check-in upon arrival. Also, we will now expect that visitors disclose any international travel dates and locations in 2020. Those who have traveled to high-risk areas, or are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, may be denied entry.
- Flexible work hours
Due to school closings and changes in available transportation, Nemko is immediately instituting flexible working hours and encouraging all employees to work from home if their position allows.
- Voluntary quarantine
Employees that have traveled internationally on or after February 25th have been asked to quarantine themselves at home for two weeks voluntarily. Any employee with symptoms of Covid-19 shall seek medical assistance immediately and consult with Human Resources before returning to work.
We encourage all customers to contact their Nemko Account Executive or Project Manager for ongoing updates. Questions specific to the risk management steps herein should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please be well and take vigilant measures to ensure the health of you and your family.
