Nemko and NCC celebrate building handover
We are in the final phase of the project that will see us complete the move into new headquarters at Philip Pedersens vei 11 at Lysaker in Oslo at the end of May. The entrepreneur, NCC, handed over the building to Nemko at a recent event marking the exchange.
General Manager for Nemko Scandinavia Håkon Rem said the move to the new facilities will have a great effect on Nemko and on all the employees. “We hope the new headquarters will lift the company and give us a new sense of pride. Of course, we have spent a lot of time planning the laboratories so they will enable efficient work processes,” he says.
The goal is for customers to notice as little as possible regarding the move. But considering that moving is a demanding process, there may be times in the coming weeks when we will have to apologize for disruptions.
“We are really looking forward to welcoming customers to our new location,” says Rem.
Lasse Thorstensen, project manager at NCC, says the cooperation with Nemko during the construction has been excellent. “Especially concerning the laboratories, the work has been challenging and given us an opportunity to learn,” he says. “We were dependent on collaboration with Nemko to be able deliver at such a high level of quality,” he says.
The building project was delivered on time and with no loss-time injuries. The new building meets the BREEAM Excellence standards, the world’s leading sustainability assessment method for master-planning projects, infrastructure and buildings.
