Kenya implements energy efficiency requirements for certain electrical products

Apparently from 1 July this year, Kenya will start to enforce their energy efficiency testing/certification scheme for certain electrical equipment.

The products so far concerned are air conditioners, refrigeration equipment and luminaires. The testing must be performed according to relevant Kenyan standards at a qualified laboratory which is duly accredited by an accreditation body being a member of ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation).
