The decisions of product designers and manufacturers have a significant impact on a product's lifecycle. Faced with increasing demands to demonstrate sustainability towards both internal and external stakeholders, and to meet their own internal ESG ambitions, designers and manufacturers of electrical/electronic products can apply the principles of Ecodesign to meet existing and upcoming regulatory product sustainability requirements.
Nemko has just launched a new digital platform where customers have the opportunity to either perform their gap analysis using a free self-assessment tool or request an expert assessment of their design and development processes per applicable Ecodesign requirements, primarily those of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR).
The offered assessment process is structured and built up according to the international standard IEC 62430:2019 (Environmentally conscious design - Principles, Requirements, and Guidance).
In addition, the users get access to an extensive knowledge base with information about other related requirements.
