The annual “it-sa Home of IT Security Exhibition & Congress” took recently place in Nuremberg, Germany.
It demonstrated an impressive growth this year with 897 exhibitors being a remarkable 33% increase compared to 2023, and more than 25,830 visitors from 65 countries were registered.
Amongst the exhibitors and participants was Nemko Germany, this year taking part in a joint booth hosted by the international department of the German state Baden-Württemberg. This common booth was profiled as “THE LÄND of pioneers”, to highlight the region's status as a hub of innovation in cyber security, bringing together 14 exhibitors under one roof.
Apart from the exhibition, the Nemko team participated in walkthroughs of the exhibition halls and in the congress engaged in a pitching session as part of the “THE LÄND of pioneers” showcase.
Amongst the audience showing interest in the cyber security services offered by Nemko were manufacturers of military equipment and IT as well as different types of companies which need to demonstrate compliance with the international standard ISO/IEC 27001 “Information security, cybersecurity and privacy protection - Information security management systems - Requirements” and/or compliance with the revised European Network & Information Security Directive (NIS2) EU 2022/2555. This came into force already in January last year but allowed Member States to legally amend their national legislation by 17 October this year.
NIS2 requires security practitioners in key industries to implement more stringent security measures and reporting of cyber incidents.
