On 19 July there was an event in Korea to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the KOLAS accreditation system and also the World Accreditation Day. Hosted by the governmental Korean Agency for Technology & Standards (KATS), the event was held to encourage related organizations that contributed to the establishment and development of the accreditation system and to declare its vision.
At the event, Nemko Korea received an award for its contribution to the development of the national industry through the advancement and revitalization of testing and certification. Nemko Korea’s General Manager,
Mr. Seungin Yang, proudly received the award on behalf of Nemko.
The appreciation is unique since being the first ministerial award given to a foreign organization in South Korea.
